About the course
Learn by doing, not by watching
Most flooring courses put you in a classroom. We put you on a slab. Across two days you'll prep, coat, flake, grind and polish real floors, guided by trainers who do this work for a living.
The Epoxy School and Rock Up Group bring equal specialist experience to the floor — practical epoxy systems and mechanically polished concrete, taught side by side on a real slab. You'll leave knowing how to run the process, read the substrate and get the result the job needs

Curriculum
What you'll learn
Day one is focused on preparing for epoxy and creating a polished concrete sample. We cover understanding the equipment and diamond tooling, concrete grinding, and the concrete polishing process inclusive of handwork. Day two is focused on epoxy. We cover flake systems from preparation to topcoat, plus the business skills to actually make money from it.
Surface Preparation
Moisture testing, diamond grinding, crack repair and profiling — the foundation every great floor is built on.
Epoxy Flake Systems
Primers, base coats, full-flake broadcasts and grout coats. Learn broadcast technique, flake selection and coverage rates.
Topcoats & Finishes
Polyurethane and polyaspartic topcoats, gloss levels, anti-slip additives and how to get a flawless finish every time.
Concrete Grinding
Machine setup, tooling selection and the step-by-step grind sequence for residential and commercial slabs.
Polished Concrete
Grinding, honing, grouting, densifying & polishing to achieve a durable finish, mirror-like finish.

Epoxy flake & resin flooring
The Epoxy School is a hands-on training and mentorship program designed to help people learn how to install epoxy flooring properly and build a real business around it. Live in-person training days give you practical experience on the tools, products and techniques, backed by an online mentorship program for ongoing support, guidance and industry knowledge.
The Epoxy School also helps generate pre-booked jobs for its installers, so you just turn up, do the work and get paid. They're actively in the epoxy industry themselves, so everything taught is based on real-world experience, not theory.

Mechanically polished concrete
Rock Up Group is a high-performance training and consulting business for the concrete polishing industry, working with operators across Australia and around the world. Customised practical training sessions plus group events, online training videos and an ongoing mentoring program that takes operators from novice to expert. Rock Up Group is independent and empowers operators to choose the equipment that's right for them. Their concrete polishing training has a practical edge and focuses on the role of the operator in understanding the substrate in front of them and what they're asking their machinery and tooling to do.
